Encouragement in Chicago
Some of us from The Ezekiel Project traveled to Moody Bible Institute to help the students that are involved in open-air evangelism and to promote the Basic Training Seminar that we conduct there in May. Some Moody students do open-air evangelism on Wednesday and Friday nights. Joining them in there efforts, we did some "street" preaching and went into the subways to talk to people about the gospel.
I am always encouraged when I make an effort to share my faith in the Lord Jesus. Personally, I had a few conversations with people who claimed to be Christians but when asked how they were getting to heaven, they pointed to their works and deeds. How wonderful it is to be able to show them from the Bible, the good news of the Lord Jesus.
I was also encouraged by the number of students involved in the outreach at Moody. In the past few years their numbers have been slowly growing. There is also a special bond that one experiences with others when sharing the gospel.
Praise the Lord for those who are willing to tell others of the Lord Jesus. Pray that we would do the same!
